What Is EPIC?
Educational Psychology in Communities aka EPIC is part of the Discovery Schools Trust who made a pledge to set up their own specialist services in order to best meet the needs of their children and support schools. In 2015, Dr Paula Hopkins set up the EPIC Psychology & Wellbeing Service (Educational Psychology in Communities) shortly followed by Melanie Carte establishing the Speech and Language Therapy (SALT) Service in 2017. Over the years, EPIC Services have grown and developed to offer a wide range of services to schools and other commissioners. As well as working with Discovery Trust schools, we also work with other MATs, standalone schools, Local Authorities, Community Paediatrics and parents.
Please note that whilst the SALT Service do take parental requests for assessment, EPIC Psychology at this time do not. This website will guide you through both services.
