BSc (Hons) Senior Speech and Language Therapist and Service Manager
Melanie qualified with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Human Communication: Speech and Language Therapy from DeMontfort University in 2008 and is fully registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Between 2008 and 2015, Melanie worked in a specialist school setting for young people with a range of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN), including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs before transitioning to independent practice in which she worked with many local mainstream primary schools, nursery settings and individual service users within Leicestershire and the bordering counties. Melanie joined EPIC Speech and Language Therapy Services in March 2017 as Service Manager and specialises in:

Hannah Litchfield
BSc (Hons) Speech and Language Therapist
Hannah qualified with a First Class BSc (Hons) in Human Communication: Speech and Language Therapy from DeMontfort University in 2018 and is fully registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT) and the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). Working at EPIC SALT is Hannah’s first position as a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist, following various placements in schools and early years settings during her degree course. Prior to studying Speech and Language Therapy, Hannah worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 14 years, undertaking clinical research in multi-disciplinary teams globally, across several therapeutic areas. Between 2010 and 2014 Hannah took the opportunity to live and work abroad in Belgium, which gave her an opportunity to improve her French and increase her cultural awareness. Hannah joined EPIC Speech and Language Therapy Services in May 2018.

Liz Carvell
BSc (Hons) Administrator
Liz qualified with a 2:1 BSc (Hons) in Human Communication: Speech and Language Therapy from DeMontfort University in 2000 and has since worked in a number of administrative roles, the most recent being with some of the Deaf community in Leicester. Liz joined EPIC Speech and Language Therapy Services in April 2017 and with her educational background and experience as well as her degree in Speech and Language Therapy, Liz is well placed to help schools with their enquiries regarding speech and language therapy.
